Additional Info: I particularly enjoyed the diving in Turks and Caicos. As to a favorite single dive, I'd have to cite when Kara and I were in Saba on a night dive. She drew my attention to what looked like a huge, dead, silver fish that was lying on a rock. I wondered why she was pointing out this four-foot carcass to me when I saw the "rock" slowly move. It took me a few moments to realize that this "rock" was the most enormous turtle I'd ever seen, and the "dead fish" was a remora who had sucked himself onto the turtle to pick up his meal scraps.

My very first dive at Wolf Island, Galapagos. During our check-out dive, the sea lions came in to play with us. They reminded me of puppy dogs that were excited about everything. They swam in and out of our bubbles, nipped at our fin tips, and came right up to our faces to inspect us. Definitely a very memorable dive!

I most enjoy helping new students find that “lightbulb” moment; when they go from fighting the water to being at one with the water..  You can actually see a wave of relaxation wash across them when they realize, in that moment, what diving is “really” all about…
