Become A Diver - Pool Time

Start your adventure in the world's most popular scuba diving course

Starting The PADI Open Water Diver course with DIVING ENTERPRISES

Effective with the July 11th class we are teaching full Scuba courses again.
The Coronavirus regulations have limited the number of divers we can have in the water at any time.  To ensure that we can best serve those wanting to get certified we are requesting that payment in full be made when registering for the classes.

If you purchased your online training drectly from PADI, please call us to get registered into the class and get credit for your payment to PADI.

If you've always wanted to learn how to Scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wonderous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most popular Scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.

To enroll in our PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be at least 12 years old.

The Fun Part

The fun part about this course is...well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you'll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your Instructor.  You can do more than one pool dive and more than one Open Water dive each day.  Typically it only takes two weekends to finish the course.  They don't even have to be consecutive.

The Scuba Gear You Use

What You Provide:

You need to have your own Personal Gear; the Mask, Fins, Boots, and Snorkel.  If you need these items we offer a Student Discount and a  Fit & Function Guarantee © .  If your items bought from us do not work as expected you can return them within 30 days and get full credit for like items.  We don't want you stuck with something that does not work for you.  You'll also get special offers and dive invitations.

If you do not have the personal gear but aren't ready to buy we offer a limited selection of rental personal gear.  While we cannot give the Fit & Function Guarantee© you'll still get special offers and dive invitations.

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear. Use of the dedicated Scuba equipment you need is included in your course fees.  What you wear will be chosen by one of our staff to ensure your comfort throughout the course.

What We Provide:

All the scuba specific equipment

  • Regulator
  • Buoyancy Compensator
  • Wetsuit
  • Cylinders
  • Weights
  • Safety Sausage
  • Gear Bag

The Learning Materials You Need

PADI offers a variety of home study materials for the Open Water Diver course.  The most popular is online eLearning on a PC, Tablet, or Smart Phone. Traditional book based learning is available if that is your preference.

Contact DIVING ENTERPRISES if you have questions about the best study option for you!

PADI's Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic Scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you'll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you'll jump in the pool (or pool-like environment) to practice these skills with your instructor.

Training Dives

Once done with the Knowledge Development and Pool Sessions you will complete your certification with four Open Water training dives.    Just click HERE to see when dives are available.  If you don't see a good time for you, just check back as we add dives often.
